Cross cutting is also called “parallel editing”.  This is probably one of the most powerful story telling  techniques in video.   The idea is to  cut between two or more scenes that are happening at the same time in an unfolding story.  Doing this as part of the Movie Game process is challenging because you physically have to cut from scene to scene.   It CAN be done if your ensemble is working well together  and your effort will be rewarded with a deeper sense of what film and video really is.    Here is an article that explains in more detail why parallel editing is so important.     Elements of Cinema
